Cleaning Safety

When cleaning your water feature it is always important to remember to be safe. These are large and heavy objects. There is always a risk of them tipping over, falling off of the wall, or leaking water.

With your wall fountain use a secure and safe ladder to access the hard to reach places. Have a partner there to hold the ladder and hand you cleaning products. Do not put your weight on the fountain, and do not over extend yourself. Use common sense.

Floor fountains can take you by surprise. Many of them are tall and with a little bit of pressure up high they can become unstable. If need be use a ladder for these too. Better to be safe than sorry.

When using chemicals it is very important to make sure that they are out of reach from children or pets. If you have pets that might try to drink from the fountain, make sure that you are using non-toxic cleaning solutions.
